4,000 New Jobs Available in Accenture Philippines

Accenture Philippines said it will hire an additional 4,000 new employees this year to fill up its newly opened Eastwood City facility.

Accenture Philippines country manager Manolito T. Tayag said the company’s goal for this year is to have 25,000 employees all over the Philippines. Currently, their local operation is 21,000 strong.

Tayag said their facility in One Global in Eastwood will be able to accommodate all of their expansion needs this year. He said this will be the only facility that they will open this year. “The Filipino talent has a lot more to offer in the world.”

Tayag said they have started operating the facility this month on a staggered basis and they hope to fill up their 4,000 target before the end of the year. “The Eastwood facility is enough to handle this expansion.” He said they hope to occupy nine floors in this building. He said the operations here will be mixed.

Tayag refused to identify how much the company invested for their Eastwood facility. He likewise did not give the attrition rate of Accenture saying only that it is lower than the industry average.

Tayag said they would like to continue to expand their existing business for their domestic clients but did not answer questions as to how much of their business is domestic and how much is global.

The Global One facility is Accenture’s second facility in Eastwood. Accenture now has a total of 14 facilities. Of the 14 delivery centers, 12 are in Metro Manila while the remaining two are in Cebu.

Aside from technology and BPO, Accenture also provides management consulting services to help its clients. The Philippine delivery centers are currently beefing up their management consulting services to cater to the needs and demands of the clients.

Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company with more than 215,000 people serving 120 countries. The Philippine operations have the third largest headcount next to the United States and India.
